That is where we started the journey.
After leaving the village we drove to a park designed by Gaudi for the Artigas family, Jardin de Artigas. The park was beautiful and very peaceful. We learned a bit about the history and why Gaudi built the park for the family. We were also the tour-guides first English tour. We were in an area with heavy Catalan influence.
Here are some pictures from the garden:
The remainder of the weekend was spent relaxing and visiting other villages around our hotel. We visited Santuario de Queralt and Baga. From the Santuario we had a panoramic view of the surrounding villages and river Llobregat. The view was amazing! In Baga we watched a medieval festival and took a tour of city/past kingdom. Everything was in Catalan, and therefore, very difficult to understand!

This week Isaac is here visiting while on his spring break! I could not be more excited to have someone from home! Sadly though, I still have class this week. With it being the week before spring break for me, I have a lot of projects to do. Isaac leaves Friday, which will inevitably be too soon, but on Friday I get to pick up Mom and Dad! After next week I only have a month left abroad. Time has flown by really fast, but I can say that I am ready to be home so I can see the pups and Miss D! Show season is getting ready to start at home and I am missing the 2 home town shows of the year. Good luck to everyone showing in Raleigh; I will be cheering you all on!
Hope everyone has a good week!
xoxo
